Unfortunately, when we are faced with the task to complete the dissertation project, we make sure to put it off till the last moment. And then we have only 20 days to get the research and writing part done. What is the immediate reaction that we usually have? That\u2019s right. We go into the so-called \u201ccrunch-time\u201d state: we cut ourselves off the real life and have no social life for a long period of time. We simply lock ourselves in a room with tons of snacks, caffeine and books and, as a rule, we stay awake for the next 20 days. Well, at least we try.<\/p>\n
The fact is that instead of isolating yourself from the social life for twenty days and abusing your body in the process, it is better to make sure to focus on making a high thesis. The best way to keep concentrated and motivated for the next weeks is to make your health the number one priority as well as get some support from the community.<\/p>\n
When it comes to how the dissertation writing actually affects our lives, the first thing to mention is the lack of good sleep.<\/b> Students make sure to 100% focus on the projects and postpone healthy sleep. They stay active more than 15 hours a day and focus on nothing but the project that is due too soon. As the result, they submit the highest quality project, but what they\u2019re rewarded with is the range of surprised effects caused by the sleep loss, like the disorders of the cognitive processes, irregular heartbeat, high blood pressure and so on.<\/p>\n
As it\u2019s been already mentioned, social life becomes a kind of taboo for an individual, who is working on the dissertation paper. The mobile phones are off, the email inbox turned to the check-later mode and all you need is the other portion of dissertation-related information. Of course, an individual drops from the routine and, who knows, maybe there\u2019s some hot news you\u2019ve already missed?<\/p>\n
Coffee…<\/b> It seems like that\u2019s the only thing that keeps us going during the hard times of the dissertation writing. While some people have an everyday habit to take more than three mugs of their favourite latte, frappuccino, espresso or any other coffee drinks, the others claim that caffeine is absolutely poisonous. We are not going to dispute about the effects of coffee, but it\u2019s good to remember that overdrinking is as unhealthy as overeating.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s good to have loving and caring people around you.<\/b> It\u2019s such a warming feeling, when someone understands how important it is for you to get the job done. However, not everyone is ready to wait until you\u2019re done with your dissertation and can get back to the real life. On the one hand, they say that a good partner will be there by your side, when you most need her.
